Greg Lewis

Host of Rock-it Science

I have had the privilege of sharing music over the WNTI air waves since 2001. Generally speaking,  my show, Rockit Science, is a blues/roots/rock based affair. A typical show of mine will include both old and new British blues, Chicago and Texas blues and blues rock.  You will also likely hear a collectible or unique live track and periodically some guitar driven blues from around the world as well.  My inclination is to always play real good music that is not likely to be heard  elsewhere.

If you are looking for hits, I am probably not your guy. My fellow WNTI dj's and myself are all very serious about our music. The name of my show Rock-it Science is just a reminder of our mission statement ...

Veteran British guitarist Snowy White  brought his old pal Max Middleton with him to NYC for his first solo performance in the USA since 2000.

Joining Snowy and Max were old pros Wilbur Bascomb on bass and drummer Buddy Williams.

What made this rare appearance  here by Snowy even more surprising was the recent physical woes that Snowy has experienced.

About six months ago I had emailed Snowy after not hearing from him in a while.

Rock-it Science host Greg Lewis recently spoke with British guitarist Snowy White.

Snowy has had a storied career recording and touring with Peter Green,Thin Lizzy; Pink Floyd and Roger Waters  over the last forty years.

He has also compiled an impressive solo catalog as well with Snowy White & the White Flames and the Snowy White Blues Project.

Snowy will bring his band with Max Middleton (Jeff Beck, Mick Taylor) to the Iridium in NYC June 14 &15 for a very rare US gig.

Snowy is one of the very best of his generation!

On Thursday May 28th, the talented  Peter Karp and Sue Foley stopped by the WNTI studios during the Rock-it Science program to perform live and chat about their current tour.

Many in Northern NJ have been fans of Peter Karp's multiple talents  since his days as the house band at the Stanhope House in the early 2000's through his four excellent solo releases and historical gigs with former Mayall/Stones guitarist Mick Taylor , slide guitar legend the late Rod Price and many more notable players across the tri-state region.
