Contours is WNTI's weekly news & arts radio magazine. Each week, host Melanie Thiel and other members of the WNTI staff present stories from around the WNTI listening area, and around the world.

Calan, a young band from Wales, will play the Minstrel at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship on Friday, July 3 as part of its first North American tour.  This quintet has won acclaim for its fresh arrangements of traditional Welsh folk melodies and for their original songs in the folk style.  Bill Nutt speaks with Bethan Rhiannon, accordionist for the band, about the group’s origins and the differences between Welsh music and other traditional folk music.   For more information about the concert, visit www.folkproject.org.
