DOGBITES; Saturday @ Noon – 3pm

DOGBITES; Saturday @ Noon – 3pm;Birthdays this week: B.B. King, David Bromberg & Cass Elliott. In rock n roll history this week we lost Jimi Hendrix, Marc Bolan & Jim Croce so we’ll celebrate their lives with tracks from each. Other points of interest on this week’s musical journey...Bill Bruford left Yes & joined King Crimson in ‘72, McCartney went into the studio alone in 1965 and came out with “Yesterday” and the Grateful Dead played live among the Egyptian pyramids in ’78.

Joe Strummer

Birthdays this week: JOE STRUMMER, Vernon Reid & Robert Plant … I love Lennon & McCartney and I love Jagger & Richards….but Strummer & Jones were the sh*t! I love Joe Strummer maybe more than anyone else in rock music history. He was an original & a badass but sadly, he died at 50 of heart failure in 2002…another example of gone too soon. I’ll spin some tunes for Plant & Reid but we’ll get into some great Strummer stuff.
