Rock-It Science

Thursdays 8-10pm

Join host Greg Lewis for the best in British blues, Chicago blues, blues rock, and anything else blues, along with interviews from some of the greats.

Rock-it Science host Greg Lewis recently spoke with British guitarist Snowy White.

Snowy has had a storied career recording and touring with Peter Green,Thin Lizzy; Pink Floyd and Roger Waters  over the last forty years.

He has also compiled an impressive solo catalog as well with Snowy White & the White Flames and the Snowy White Blues Project.

Snowy will bring his band with Max Middleton (Jeff Beck, Mick Taylor) to the Iridium in NYC June 14 &15 for a very rare US gig.

Snowy is one of the very best of his generation!

On Thursday May 28th, the talented  Peter Karp and Sue Foley stopped by the WNTI studios during the Rock-it Science program to perform live and chat about their current tour.

Many in Northern NJ have been fans of Peter Karp's multiple talents  since his days as the house band at the Stanhope House in the early 2000's through his four excellent solo releases and historical gigs with former Mayall/Stones guitarist Mick Taylor , slide guitar legend the late Rod Price and many more notable players across the tri-state region.

What do David Briggs,Neil Young,Bruce Springsteen, Cab Calloway,Bob Dylan, Howard Stern, Walt Frazier,Fred Dryer, Paula Poundstone, Kevin McHale, Roger Daltrey, Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend, Curley Neal, Roy Buchanan, Danny Gatton,Bill Kirchen,Jimmy Thackery,Washington DC, Greg Verlotta, John Madden, Elvin Hayes, Dr J, The Stone Pony, the New Jersey Turnpike,Maryland and Scottsdale Arizona have in common?

All of these people and places are parts of the stories guitar legend Nils Lofgren shared with WNTI listeners the evening of April 23 2015.

Carolyn Wonderland called into Rock-it Science on March 26th to share a few words with our listeners and host Greg Lewis.

Carolyn is not your typical blues belting singer guitarist although she does that with the best of them.

At a typical Carol Wonderland show you will see her play the mandolin, trumpet, gazoo and whatever else she might have in reach, in addition to her spine tingling vocals and great rocking blues guitar.

If you have not seen her play, you should. You will thank me later!

Rocky Athas is a blues guitarist born and raised in Texas. He was a boyhood friend of Stevie Ray Vaughn and has been a part of the Fort Worth -Dallas blues scene for almost forty years now.

Rocky has been with John Mayall since 2009 touring the world and has just recorded his third album with John.

Rocky also has an excellent solo catalog and has played with Buddy Miles and Black Oak Arkansas to go along with session work on other artist's CDs.
